By BASSEM MROUE, JOHNSON LAI, and JUSTIN SPIKE BEIRUT (AP) — Walkie-talkies and solar equipment exploded in Beirut and other parts of Lebanon on Wednesday in an apparent second wave of attacks targeting devices a day after pagers used by Hezbollah blew up, state media and officials for the militant group said. At least 14 people were killed and more than 450 wounded in the second wave, the Health Ministry said. The attacks — which were widely believed to be carried out by Israel targeting Hezbollah but have also killed civilians — have hiked fears that the two sides’ simmering conflict could escalate into all-out war.

Speaking to Israeli troops on Wednesday, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said, “We are at the start of a new phase in the war — it requires courage, determination and perseverance.” He made no mention of the exploding devices but praised the work of Israel’s army and security agencies, saying “the results are very impressive.” In Wednesday’s attacks, several blasts were heard at a funeral in Beirut for three Hezbollah members and a child killed by exploding pagers the day before, according to Associated Press journalists at the scene. An AP photographer in the southern coastal city of Sidon saw a car and a mobile phone shop damaged after devices exploded inside of them. A girl was hurt in the south when a home solar energy system blew up, the state news agency reported.

The attacks, which targeted a busy market and a mosque, were the deadliest in the country’s history. The attacks were carried out by a group calling itself the “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant” (ISIL), a terrorist organization that has been responsible for numerous attacks across the country. ISIL has been gaining ground in Iraq and Syria, and its influence has been growing in recent months.

* Health workers were among the victims of the attack. * The attack targeted Hezbollah-linked organizations. * Booby-traps were used in the attack.

The strikes targeted the northern Israeli city of Haifa, the city of Kiryat Shmona, and the city of Safed. The strikes were carried out using rockets and mortars. Hezbollah’s announcement came after the latest round of explosions in Lebanon, which were attributed to a series of explosions in the port of Beirut. Hezbollah’s actions were condemned by Israel and the United States.

In his comments, Gallant said that after months of fighting Hamas in Gaza, “the center of gravity is shifting to the north by diverting resources and forces.” As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu huddled with top security officials at Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv, the country’s army chief, Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, said plans have been drawn up for additional action against Hezbollah. Israeli media say the government has not yet decided whether to launch a major offensive in Lebanon. Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, is expected to deliver a major speech on Thursday. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the U.S. is still assessing how the attacks in Lebanon could affect efforts to negotiate a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war.

The attacks, which targeted a variety of individuals and organizations, were carried out by a group known as the “Islamic Jihad.” The group’s stated goal was to disrupt the peace process and sow discord among Lebanese citizens. The attacks were carried out in a coordinated manner, with the pagers being activated simultaneously across Lebanon. This suggests a high level of planning and organization.

The attacks, which killed 13 people and injured 70, were claimed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The attacks were the latest in a series of bombings and shootings that have plagued Lebanon since the start of the Syrian Civil War in 2011. The Syrian Civil War has had a profound impact on Lebanon, leading to a massive influx of refugees, economic instability, and political turmoil.

* Hezbollah’s use of walkie-talkies has been a subject of concern for the Israeli government. * The explosion of walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah has raised concerns about the group’s capabilities and potential for future attacks. * The incident highlights the ongoing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.

The story is about a family living in a small town in the United States. The family consists of a father, a mother, and their two children, a boy and a girl. The father is a carpenter, and the mother is a teacher. The children are 8 and 9 years old. One day, a stranger arrives in town.
